To become a volunteer at Camp Maskepetoon you must participate in the Training Weekend event which is held at the end of June. Training Weekend is held at the camp and will give you the skills required to be a volunteer at camp.In order to provide a safe and secure environment for our campers, we require that all staff and volunteers have a Criminal Record clearance completed prior to working at camp. It is free of charge to volunteers of the camp and you will be contacted to fill in a form to have this done. Personal references must also be provided which will be checked prior to the summer.
Once these are done and you have completed the training weekend you are a full fledged Camp Maskepetoon volunteer ready to have an amazing summer with hundreds of campers!
You will be given your volunteer assignments by the Director. The decision on what your role will be is based on your training, current camp requirements, and of course, your preference.
